I’ve had somewhat of an absence lately, as I’ve moved to another city. I am, glad to say, still in the Metro Vancouver area, just in a slightly quieter part of it.
It’s been a week of unpacking and setting things up. I scaled down my “stuff” by probably 30%, as I got rid of anything that I hadn’t used in 6 months or longer. It feels good to send those things either to be recycled or reused – rather than have them collect dust in the back of a closet.
This is Conan as he gets used to his new surroundings. He says, “As long as I’ve got my apple and my belly gets rubbed…” We can learn a lot from the simple nature of dogs. Namely, how to be happy with what we have.
Now it’s time to get back to work and continue on with writing. I do need to find another cafe nearby, but that shouldn’t be too difficult. I also wanted to let everyone know that CWILL is having a Fall Book Harvest event at the Vancouver Public Library on October 5th (see poster). While I won’t be presenting, I will be working the Kidsbooks table if you’d like to come by and say hello.
